Coach Lance Gary thinks the Falcons played harder than ever on Friday night at Frisco Memorial against the Raccoons, and that there is much to build on as they go forward into the season.
The Falcons are still developing identity as a tough football team, and there really is no other kind of successful football team. As players mature in the system and work to earn their places on the team they are also working to solidify the identity of the school.
The Falcons played it close with state ranked Frisco for the entire first half, their stingy defense keeping the score at 7-7 long into the second quarter. A raccoon touchdown and Falcon field goal made it 14-10 until Frisco popped a 102 yard kickoff return for score.
The Falcons never gave in and the final of 35-17 was not really indicative of the hard-fought game North Forney brought to Frisco on Friday.
Look for the Falcons in their season opener on Friday night at City Bank Stadium against Frisco Lonestar!
