After placing 6th overall in the 13-5a District Championships, Alyssa Hood earned the chance to keep her cross country season going and compete in the next round of the post season for cross country runners. This meant toeing the line with 200 of the best runners in the DFW/East Texas region in the Region II Tournament on Monday, October, 28th. Hood finished with a new personal record of 20:40, an average pace of 6:39 per mile. This time was good enough for 65th place overall, an improvement of 16 spots from her place last year. These results, and her season overall, solidify her as one of the top Sophomore runners in the state.
