After placing 6th overall in the 13-5a District Championships, Alyssa Hood earned the chance to keep her cross country season going and compete in the next round of the post season for cross country runners. The Burleson Centennial High School Spartan Invitational is know as the “Home of the Green Monster”. About a half mile into the 5k course a 100 yard hill, known as the Green Monster, makes its appearance. On Monday, August 5th all students interested in participating in the upcoming cross-country season will need to attend a mandatory meeting with a parent or guardian. This meeting will cover the upcoming season, schedules, expectations and basic guidelines. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm, and be in the cafeteria at North Forney High School.
